Wichita “Golden” Bulldogs
For more 40 years, the Wichita Bulldogs have remained dedicated to serving and developing the youth of Wichita. Founded by the legendary Coach Theo Cribs, the organization was built on a foundation of discipline, mentorship, community pride, and a genuine commitment to helping young athletes succeed.
Generations of players have proudly worn the Bulldogs uniform, learning the importance of teamwork, accountability, sportsmanship, and hard work. The program’s impact reaches far beyond wins and championships—it can be seen in the young people who have grown into confident athletes, leaders, and productive members of the community.
With over four decades of tradition, the Wichita Bulldogs continue to honor the vision of Coach Cribs by providing opportunities, guidance, and real resources for Wichita’s youth. More than a football program, the Bulldogs are a legacy, a family, and a lasting pillar of the community.
History
The Bulldogs’ rich history includes influential leaders such as Coach Randle, whose dedication helped guide generations of young players. The program has also produced outstanding athletes who went on to achieve success at the high school, college, and professional levels.
Joseph Randle continued his football career at Oklahoma State before reaching the NFL and playing for the Dallas Cowboys. John Randle played college football at the University of Kansas, while John Randle Jr. became one of the nation’s top recruits and continued his career at the University of Utah. Derek Hubbard also left his mark by delivering record-breaking performances at Wichita South High School..
Org Director Uylesses Deshazer
Ulysses DeShazer has been a dedicated coach and mentor for over 25 years. A Wichita Bulldog through and through, he has devoted his life to developing young athletes and creating opportunities for underprivileged youth through sports.
More than a coach, DeShazer is a respected community activist who has used athletics to teach discipline, leadership, confidence, and responsibility. His impact extends far beyond the field, with generations of young people benefiting from his guidance, support, and commitment to the Wichita community.
